WMBF News reports that (FOX Carolina) - The United States Geological Survey reported two earthquakes in the Union County area Friday.
According to officials, a 1.8-magnitude earthquake was reported around 6:05 p.m.
It reached a depth of 6 kilometers, or 3.73 miles.
The earthquake was reported 5.5 miles east of Cross Anchor, 22.5 miles south-southeast of Spartanburg and 28.5 miles east-southeast of Five Forks.
Later, a 1.9-magnitude earthquake was reported at 10:22 p.m.
It reached a depth of 1 kilometer, or 0.62 miles.
