WMBF News reports that MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Stream Data Centers announced it will no longer move forward with Project Liberty, the controversial Marion County data center project, citing utility timing constraints.
The company announced the decision on its website, stating it is unable to meet established project timeline requirements and cannot proceed with development at the location.
Project Liberty was passed by the Marion County Council in January.
No information was shared with the community until after the vote due to non-disclosure agreements that council members signed.
