SCDOT to conduct road work, lane closures in Horry County

WMBF News reports that HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Transportation officials in the state have announced upcoming road work.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation said that nighttime traffic shift operations will take place on US-501 between SC-544 and Myrtle Ridge Drive from Sunday to next Thursday.

and 6 a.m., crews will continue work on the corridor widening project, including paving operations and traffic signal adjustments to improve visibility and enhance safety for motorists.

Temporary nighttime lane closures for the US-17 Bypass widening project in Myrtle Beach will start on Sunday.

Crews will perform guardrail installation operations along the project corridor from Harrelson Boulevard to Farrow Parkway (SC-707), the department said.

Work will occur on the following dates and times: Drivers are asked to slow down, expect traffic pattern changes, and pay attention when driving in the areas.
