(WIS) - A Richland County man was arrested Friday after allegedly sending threats to a state lawmaker through the mail.

The South Carolina Law Enforcment Division said 57-year-old Dewayne Simmons is charged with threatning the life of a public official.

Simmons was arrested Friday and booked at the Alvin S.

WIS confirmed Friday that the victim in the case is state Rep.

Seth Rose, a Democrat representing part of Richland County.
