WMBF News reports that RED SPRINGS, NC (WMBF) - The Town of Red Springs is now looking for its next police chief.
On Friday, town officials announced that Red Springs Police Department Chief Antoinette Hurtt submitted her resignation from the department, effective immediately.
The town said that this information was shared through an email to the Town Manager on Friday around 5:20 p.m.
Hurtt became employed with Red Springs in January.
“ Unfortunately, I have reached the conclusion that I can no longer effectively fulfill the mission I was hired to accomplish.
