WBTW News13 reports that (WCBD) -- Netflix announced the release date and trailer for the fifth and final season of the Charleston-filmed Netflix series "Outer Banks." The cast and crew were previously spotted in June 2025 around Charleston, filming for the final season.
The crew also spent time in the Myrtle Beach area, filming a scene on the Socastee Swing Bridge.
In previous seasons, the series has been filmed all around the Lowcountry, including King Street, the Battery, Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Lowndes Grove, and May Forest State Park, just to name a few.
The show focuses on John B and his tight-knit crew of friends (the Pogues) who embark on a quest for mystery and adventure while hunting for lost treasure.
Netflix says the ride-or-die friend group will be back on Aug.
20, and for the final season, the Pogues are out for revenge.
