North Strand registered sex offender accused of stalking 15-year-old

WMBF News reports that NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The North Myrtle Beach Police Department said a man is accused of stalking a teenager.

Blaine Peter Zdybel,43, has been charged with stalking and investigators have confirmed that Zdybel is a registered sex offender.

Officers say that on Monday, at 9:52 a.m., they determined that Zdybel, encountered the 15-year-old victim in the area of Highway 17 South while the teen was riding his bicycle to work.

Allegedly, Zdybel began following the victim in his car, and after the victim arrived at work, he entered the business, interacted with the victim, made a purchase, and then left.

According to NMBPD, at 3:16 p.m., investigators allege Zdybel again encountered the victim as he was riding his bicycle from work and began following him again.

T Police say the teen attempted to get away from the car by riding through several side streets and parking lots before asking for help from an employee of the North Myrtle Beach Fire Department.
