WIS News 10 reports that (WIS) - The future of South Carolina baseball landed in center field at Founders Park.
New head baseball coach Kevin Schnall made an entrance—and promises—to fans during Friday night’s introductory event.
Schnall said he intends to build a coaching staff that can rival any in the country and to recruit and retain elite players.
He added that the program is moving in the right direction on both fronts.
During the press conference, Schnall took a trip down memory lane, reflecting on the 2010 Myrtle Beach Super Regional, when the Gamecocks swept the Chanticleers to punch their ticket to Omaha.
USC went on to win the program’s first national championship.
