WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A new par-3, 9-hole course is being built at the Legends Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach, opening a new opportunity for locals and tourists to hit the course.

Over the last six months, Legends Golf Resort has been transforming part of its property to add a nine-hole par-3 course, a shorter option than a traditional 18-hole round.

The course is designed for quicker play, and course leaders said it could also create a new nightlife-style option for locals and visitors.

“I’m talking to all the locals here; everyone is pretty excited,” said Merle Hambleton.

“They are going to have lights on them, music, and everything.

We’re just pretty excited about it.” The new additions will add new food and beverage options and areas for both kids and adults to enjoy coastal sunsets as well as live music on the new entertainment stands.
