WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - It was a busy weekend for Myrtle Beach police.
Officers handled 1,567 calls for service during the Carolina Country Music Fest weekend.
Police self-initiated 1,022 of those calls, according to preliminary numbers released by the department.
Officials say the Detention Unit processed 120 bookings during the event.
Officers issued 374 citations, including 7 DUI arrests, 31 drug charges, and 13 open container violations in vehicles.
Police maintained a presence across the city during the annual event.
