WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A Myrtle Beach man won $20,000 after buying a lottery ticket on a whim.
The lucky winner told lottery officials he has been playing the lottery for more than 40 years, with the big win coming on a game he usually doesn’t play.
He came within one number of winning the June 5 Mega Millions jackpot.
The ticket was purchased at the Publix grocery store on Oakheart Road in Myrtle Beach, and the store received a $200 commission for selling the claimed ticket.
