WMBF News reports that SCOTLAND COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - A Scotland County man is in custody after deputies in West Virginia found a deceased person following a vehicle fire, officials said.
The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office said Harold Patterson was arrested on a fugitive warrant in connection with the West Virginia death investigation.
The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office said the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10 a.m.
Sunday, to a report of a vehicle fire in the 300 block of Cabin Creek Road in Kanawha County, West Virginia.
Investigators said a deceased person was found inside the vehicle after the fire was extinguished.
