WMBF News reports that HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Sunday morning outage left multiple people without power.

According to the Horry Electric Cooperative map, the outage first impacted more than 10,000 members and then later more than 3,000 in the Burgess and Island Green areas.

At 10:20 a.m., the agency announced that crews from Santee Cooper and Horry Electric had restored power.

The cause of the outage was a blown arrestor at the substation.

Horry County Fire Rescue was called to the scene of the electrical hazard just after 8:30 a.m.

at the 4000 block of Holmestown Road.
