Marlboro County deputies warn of potential non-law enforcement stop

WMBF News reports that MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Deputies are letting residents know they are aware of a potential stop with fake law enforcement.

On Sunday, the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office said that the potential stop involved non-law enforcement attempting to stop a person in the Clio area.

“If you are acquainted with the person in question, please advise them to contact the sheriff’s office to schedule an interview regarding the incident,” said the deputies.

MCSO also recommended that people follow their tips for what to do in you are unsure about a traffic stop.
