Man sentenced for providing drugs that led to 2 deaths in Darlington County

WMBF News reports that DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Darlington man will spend more than five years in prison.

William Chad Brown pled guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter in Darlington County General Sessions Court.

Officials say Brown admitted to providing illicit drugs to two people who later overdosed and died while inside his home in 2023.

A judge sentenced Brown to three years on the first count and a consecutive three-year sentence on the second count, for a total of six years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
