WMBF News reports that HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A man is facing multiple child sex crime charges in Horry County.
Deputies with the Horry County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Anthony Bowman, 29, on Wednesday following an investigation.
Bowman was charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the sheriff’s office.
These charges came after investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about alleged criminal activity on the app, Kik.
Bowman was identified as the owner of the Kik account and was subsequently arrested and charged.
He is currently being held at J Reuben Long Detention Center on a $20,000 bond combined across the four charges.
