WMBF News reports that FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A man was arrested after a Florence ATM robbery investigation.
The Florence Police Department has arrested Nevon Barnes in connection with a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo on South Irby Street.
According to investigators, Barnes and an unidentified co-defendant approached an ATM technician on June 8, verbally threatened him, and took four cash cassettes from the machine.
Detectives identified a silver SUV as a possible suspect vehicle.
Authorities say witness statements and investigative resources led to Barnes’ identification.
Officials say Flock Safety license plate recognition technology also provided leads that helped investigators identify the vehicle.
