WMBF News reports that NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A man is facing charges after police say he shot into a North Myrtle Beach Verizon store after hours.

Officers with the North Myrtle Beach Police Department arrested William Smith III, 72, on Thursday.

These charges came after an incident report says officers were called to the store on Thursday due to suspicious activity.

When officers arrived, the report says they found eight bullet holes that damaged windows and metal parts of the building, as well as spent .22 caliber rounds at the scene.

The store manager said employees saw the damage when they arrived to open the store for the day, according to the report.

After an investigation, the report says officers determined the suspect car was a 2013 Toyota Tacoma that belonged to Smith.
