WMBF News reports that CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - During Tuesday night’s heated runoff debate, both gubernatorial candidates seeking the republican ticket made several claims about each other.
During the one-hour debate, Attorney General Alan Wilson and Lt.
Governor Pamela Evette accused the other candidate of lying, manipulating, and mudslinging.
WMBF News looked into some of these claims and reveals the accuracy of them.
One claim, made by Evette, accused Wilson of taking a raise that she claims she and Governor Henry McMaster turned down.
“Now you did not need to take it; it wasn’t right,” Evette said to Wilson.
