WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A judge on Thursday denied a request to lower the bond for the first man charged under Myrtle Beach’s hate intimidation ordinance.
Tonya Root, a spokesperson for the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, said the state opposed the bond motion for Timothy Truett Jr., 37, of Clover.
Jail records show his bond remains at more than $312,000, roughly where it stood after his arrest in April.
Truett is charged with hate intimidation, among other charges, in connection with the shots fired at Pulse Ultra Club, an LGBTQ nightclub.
