WMBF News reports that HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - When Horry County students return to the classroom, new screen time rules will be waiting for them.
Horry County Schools says it is implementing a new “Protected Learning” initiative, and posted a breakdown of the rules on its website.
“Horry County Schools believes that technology is a useful tool; however, like any tool, we must consider the times and tasks most appropriate for its use,” the page reads.
Different grades have different daily screen time restrictions, and a breakdown is available below.
Superintendent Clifford Jones first proposed setting limits during a school board retreat in late April.
