WMBF News reports that HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A judge revoked bond for a Horry County man facing new charges after being arrested while out on bond for a human trafficking charge.
Police arrested Kwame Vereen in January 2026, charging him with marijuana possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a pistol.
According to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, Vereen cannot own a gun due to a federal charge from 2015.
At the time of his 2026 arrest, Vereen was out of jail on bond after being charged in a 2022 human trafficking case.
In 2022, State Law Enforcement Division agents arrested Vereen and two others for trafficking in persons under 18 at a hotel in Myrtle Beach.
Vereen was also charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
