WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Grand Strand leaders reviewed research findings on Horry County’s growth and challenges as part of a countywide strategic planning initiative.

The findings come as Collaborate 2031 is in full swing.

The group of 42 public and private community leaders is building a countywide strategic plan to guide future growth.

The data ranks Myrtle Beach as the number 5 best small city in America, number 3 in micro-business growth, and number 6 in non-hospitality employment.

Leaders recognize that Myrtle Beach is a tourist destination, but also note the importance of other opportunities.

Horry County was ranked at number 4 in young professionals’ population growth.
