Horry County Fire Rescue crews contain woods fire in Longs area

WMBF News reports that HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF)- Crews worked to contain a one-acre woods fire on Saturday.

Horry County Fire Rescue said that just after 2:00 p.m., the agency was called to the area of Bombing Range Road and Dewitt Road in the Longs area.

At 4:30 p.m., HCFR announced the containment of the fire.

The South Carolina Forestry Commission assisted.

Horry County Fire Rescue said that residents could see smoke and possible flare-ups for an extended duration.
