WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An Horry County couple says their dream truck they bought has turned into a nightmare after a recall, and they claim the company and South Carolina’s lemon law have left them helpless.

Shawn and Barbara Keough bought their brand-new $85,000 Ram 3500 diesel dually in January 2025 and picked it up from the dealership four months later, in May.

The couple wanted a sturdy truck to help pull their fifth-wheel trailer and travel across the country.

“When we first got the truck, it was fantastic,” Shawn said.

“The ease that the truck gave me to pull my camper was fantastic.

We did 15 states in five weeks, and it was an amazing trip.” However, the couple said eight months in, a recall to update the software has left them with even more problems.
