WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A temporary hold at Myrtle Beach High School was lifted Tuesday morning after a threatening phone call prompted a police response, according to Horry County Schools.

The school was placed on hold after the front office received the call from an out-of-state number, Horry County Schools spokesperson Lisa Bourcier said.

Myrtle Beach police responded around 10:41 a.m., and the hold was later lifted on their advice.

Other Myrtle Beach cluster schools were placed in “secure” status as a precaution.

The high school’s administration and police are investigating.
