WMBF News reports that GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - South Strand veterans will continue to have a central location to seek help after a vote by the Georgetown City Council.
For the past three years, the Low Country Veterans Group has operated out of a city-owned building free of charge.
With the council’s vote, that partnership will continue for five more years.
“We do a real large variety of things for veterans, but our main goal is to support veterans, and their needs,” said Franklin E.
Rutledge, Low Country Veterans Group founder.
The partnership allows the Low Country Veterans Group to help those who served in various ways, like finding shelter, paying bills, and providing transportation in a key location.
