WMBF News reports that GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Georgetown County Water and Sewer District is asking customers to conserve water amid a significant drop in available water pressure.
The Waccamaw Neck water system is experiencing the drop because of unusually high water demand Wednesday morning, the district said.
The district is asking customers to be mindful Wednesday about unnecessary water use and to postpone excessive irrigation and other non-essential outdoor water activities while the system works to rebuild the water supply.
“Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will help us restore normal system conditions as quickly as possible,” the district said.
The district said it will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
