Fundraiser to be held for Marion County deputy hurt in off-duty crash

WMBF News reports that MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is taking donations for a recently injured deputy.

A Benefit Fundraiser will take place on Saturday to raise money for Deputy Jackie Yates, who was severely injured in an off-duty motorcycle crash in May.

Yates is now recovering at home, but is still out of work This benefit ride proceeds to go toward his medical bills.

Yates has been a Marion County first responder for decades, serving both in the fire service and law enforcement.

He is also a tour bus driver and is very well known and beloved in our community.
