WMBF News reports that FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A now-viral video showing a confrontation between a food critic and a Florence restaurant has led to a lawsuit.

Trayvon Turner, of Florence County, filed the suit Friday morning in Florence County Court of Common Pleas against Percy & Willie’s parent company, Neel Lands LLC, and four of its leaders: owner William Hal Neel III, operating partner Jeffrey Chamblee, general manager Andrew Davis, and service manager Tracy Counts.

Turner, known as “Ben-A-Critic” on YouTube and Instagram, visited Percy & Willie’s, located at 130 Dunbarton Drive in Florence, to film content for his food review channel on May 3.

According to the lawsuit, a manager escorted Turner to the front of the restaurant after he placed his order and told him to leave, citing a no-recording policy.

The suit alleges Turner asked why he wasn’t just asked to stop recording rather than being removed, and that was when the confrontation escalated.

According to the lawsuit, Neel used his chest and body to push Turner out of the restaurant.
