PAWLEYS ISLAND — A Florence pilot has been arrested after Georgetown County deputies say he terrified Pawleys Island beachgoers by flying a small plane too close to the coast last month.

William Roger Williamson III, 50, was charged with breach of peace, aggravated in nature, on May 26, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
