Florence County woman charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting husband

WMBF News reports that FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly shooting her husband at a home in Florence County.

Florence County Sheriff’s Office charged Josephine Scott, 75 years old, of Timmonsville, with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

On Saturday, deputies responded to a reported shooting at a home on Walker Swinton Road in Timmonsville.

Following an investigation, officials allege Scott intentionally shot her husband in both legs after an argument.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

Scott was released from the Florence County Detention Center on Monday on a $55,000 bond.
