FIRST ALERT: Heat Advisory Thursday; Arthur’s remnants bring a few strong storms Friday morning

WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A Heat Advisory is in effect for Thursday as heat builds across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee.

Then, the remnants of Arthur move in Friday morning with a storm threat we’re watching extremely closely.

Heat index values ranging from 100° to 105° have prompted the Heat Advisory from 12 PM to 8 PM Thursday.

Go ahead and start hydrating before you head out the door, especially if you plan to be outside for a longer duration today.

Highs will climb into the lower 90s for the beaches and Pee Dee today.

While a stray shower or storm is possible, most areas should remain dry.
