WMBF News reports that ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - The sheriff of Robeson County is firing back at what he called keyboard cops and living room lawyers who are criticizing the handling of the Sara Graham investigation.
In a Thursday night Facebook post, just hours after announcing three arrests in the Sara Graham case, Sheriff Burnis Wilkins explained why the arrests took so long.
Sara Graham was 18 years old when she left her Fairmont home on the morning of Feb.
4, 2015, to go to work at a Walmart in Pembroke.
Hours later, her white van was found abandoned in a field along East McDonald Road.
Wilkins pointed out that a homicide charge cannot be brought for a missing person.
