WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Authorities are searching for two juveniles who deputies said walked away from AMI Kids near Bennettsville on Tuesday.
The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office said it is continuing the search Wednesday morning and has enlisted the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division dog team and aviation unit.
Deputies said the juveniles were recently spotted near Busy Bay and Florence Street.
In an update late Tuesday night, Marlboro County Chief Deputy Larry Turner said ground search and drone operations were suspended for the night due to recent fires in the area that created hotspots, hindering drone operations and making the search more challenging.
Turner said deputies will continue conducting roving patrols overnight and will coordinate with AMI and the S.C.
Department of Juvenile Justice to apprehend the juveniles.
