WMBF News reports that ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins announced that a shooting investigation has begun.
The sheriff’s office said that investigators were called to the scene of a shooting incident at 7:41 a.m in the area of the 800 block of Mary C Road outside of St.
In an update, the sheriff’s office said a man was shot during a domestic violence incident.
According to deputies, the initial 911 call reported that an individual had forced entry into a home after intentionally damaging the property by driving a vehicle into the porch.
During the response, deputies were told that a person had been shot.
Highcrest Sr., 41, of Pembroke, was found dead at the scene.
