WIS News 10 reports that Pamela Evette and Attorney General Alan Wilson made their final pitches to voters before a rowdy crowd at Coastal Carolina University on Tuesday night as they seek the Republican nomination to be the state’s next governor.
Early voting for the runoff race began on Wednesday.
WIS is looking into claims made by each candidate and is going into greater detail about key policy distinctions between them.
The two candidates largely agree on many conservative priorities, including cutting taxes and universal school choice.
However, they spent much of the debate continuing attacks that have ramped up since primary night.
They clashed over casino gambling and attacked each other’s records and campaign claims.
