WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - David Stumbo will appear on the ballot this November as South Carolina voters choose their next attorney general.
Stumbo won Tuesday’s Republican primary runoff against Stephen Goldfinch, receiving 118,005 votes, or 54.9%.
Goldfinch received 97,099 votes, or 45.1%.
Stumbo serves as circuit solicitor for Newberry, Laurens, Abbeville, and Greenwood counties.
He has spent more than a decade prosecuting criminal cases.
He will now face Democratic nominee Richard Hricik in the Nov.
