WMBF News reports that HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Crews responded to a woods fire in Horry County on Thursday night.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to McDowell Shortcut Road near Highway 707 at 8:48 p.m.
The fire was fully contained as of 10:15 p.m.
The fire was estimated at approximately one acre, according to HCFR officials.
Horry County Police Department and the South Carolina Forestry Commission are assisting.
Crews will continue to monitor the area, but people may see smoke for an extended time.
