South Carolina has a responsibility to protect its children from the predators, platforms and emerging technologies that can be used to exploit them.

That responsibility does not disappear simply because the threat is new, digital or powered by artificial intelligence.

That is why I recently introduced H.5598, legislation designed to strengthen S.C.

law by making clear that technology companies and developers can be held accountable when they knowingly design, market, promote or operate tools that facilitate the creation of intimate images of identifiable individuals.
