WMBF News reports that CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Coastal Carolina introduced Chris Lemonis as the school’s seventh head baseball coach Thursday.
Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation Chance Miller announced Lemonis will take over the program.
“We have somebody that has grown up in this community, went to Socastee High School,” Miller said.
He has over 30 years of experience in coaching and has won it all and won at a high level.” Lemonis replaces Kevin Schnall, who left to become head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks baseball team.
Schnall’s departure led to moves in the transfer portal from this year’s Coastal roster.
Lemonis and his staff are focused on bringing in talent.
