Carolina Country Music Fest expected to draw thousands to Grand Strand

WMBF News reports that MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Tens of thousands of fans will pack the heart of Myrtle Beach in less than a week for the CCMF.

For the last 11 years, country music fans have made their way to Myrtle Beach for the festival, and this year could be one of the biggest yet.

Last year, festival organizers estimated more than 100,000 people attended over four days, bringing in more than $50 million for the Myrtle Beach economy.

Founder Bob Durkin said that this year there will be even more for visitors to do, including a wellness village with options such as IV treatments and cold plunges for people dealing with the heat.

The city released a map showing road closures in the area.

Ocean Boulevard is already closed between 8th Avenue North and 9th Avenue North.
