WMBF News reports that MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A wanted man considered to be armed and dangerous has turned himself in to deputies in Marlboro County on Monday.
The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office has charged Nicholas Miller with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and malicious damage to property.
The sheriff’s office announced that Miller was wanted and considered to be armed and dangerous on Friday.
He has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred on Thursday on Hart Lane in the Bennettsville area.
Deputies said the victim was visiting the owner of the home before Miller arrived, and a heated conversation between the victim and Miller escalated.
Miller and an unidentified black male co-defendant fired at the victim, and the victim returned fire, according to MCSO.
