(WIS) - The Sumter Police Department and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a crash involving a stolen pickup truck that left three people injured on Wednesday.
According to authorities, an officer initiated a traffic stop around 12:43 p.m.
on Alice Drive near Gion Street when the driver of the pickup truck, that was reported stolen, drove away and crashed with two other vehicles.
The two passengers in the pickup truck were injured and flown to a hospital where they remain in critical condition.
The driver, 45-year-old Shamona Nicole McFadden, of Eastover, was treated for her injuries and later booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
