Ryan Lynch, Erik Paulsen reflect on shutout victory over VCU

Yahoo Sports reports that The North Carolina Tar Heels won their opener of the Chapel Hill Regional on Friday, shutting out VCU for the 8-0 win.

They did so on the arm of starter Ryan Lynch and the bat of Erik Paulsen.

Lynch threw seven shutout innings and really was never threatened in the game.

He gave up just two hits and was a big factor all game long.

Meanwhile, Paulsen drove in three runs on the day and was a big bat in UNC's lineup.

After the game, the two met the media to break down the win: “I was more efficient today.
