Yahoo Sports reports that LEBANON – Layne Riggs added to the family guitar collection on May 30.

Riggs passed race leader Rajah Caruth on the last lap of the Allegiance 200, the NASCAR Nashville Craftsman Truck race, to end the over five-hour race that started on May 29, but ended a few minutes after midnight thanks to a weather delay that lasted two and 45 minutes.

For Riggs, the Nashville Superspeedway guitar trophy was his first.

But his dad, Scott Riggs, won three guitar trophies at the superspeedway, including the inaugural Craftsman Truck Series race in 2001.

He also won O'Reilly races in 2002 and 2003.

"He's got his trophy cases with his guitars in our basement," Layne Riggs said.
