Hampton Roads teams bring home four state titles on Championship Saturday

Championship Saturday delivered memorable moments for Hampton Roads teams as Great Bridge baseball, Grassfield softball and both Kellam soccer programs captured state titles to cap successful seasons. In the Class 5 baseball state championship, Great Bridge rallied from an early deficit to defeat Glen Allen 11-5 and claim its first state title since 2011. Glen Allen built a 4-0 lead in the second inning with the help of an RBI double, but the Wildcats responded with a dominant offensive surge.
